MERRY CHRISTMAS, CLASSMATES!

I wanted to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
It's almost 2007. It just doesn't seem possible that time has passed so quickly.
I hope you all have a holiday season filled with joy, love and happiness!

Back to Work

I am starting a new job on Monday. It's only 30 hours a week, so I'll still have plenty of time to do all those other things I like to do. I just won't be on here during the day. I am excited to start it and get that new feeling over with though.

We're getting rain today and they say it may turn into freezing rain in areas. Yuck! I think I'll stay home for a while and maybe it'll all go away.

I'll see if I can dig up some more photos to post later, too.

Have a wonderful weekend!!

Most Memorable Winter Memories

Okay, this is crazy! The temp has gone from a wopping 12 to 14 at 8am! I doubt it'll make it to 33.
It's too cold here.

So what was your most memorable winter here in the Tri-Cities growing up?
You should be able to post in comments. If not, just email to me and I'll forward it to all. I'll post mine this weekend as I've got to get things organized for my craft show tomorrow.

Have a fun weekend Friends!

Baby, It's Cold Outside!

For those of you that do not know yet, we lost on Saturday. It was a very sunny, and cold day. Kennedy from Burien won the game, 13-28. We had 3 boys with leg injuries, 1 quite badly, according to the paper. They have nothing to feel bad about though, they made a long way in the playoffs. The team should feel really good about what they did accomplish this season.

It was sunny on Saturday and on Sunday we got almost 2 inches of snow! It is a little bit early for here, but maybe that means that Spring will get here sooner! Hey, I'm trying to stay positive here, since I'm not a cold weather person. It's 18 degrees right now and lightly snowing. Does anyone miss the place now???

I had a job interview this morning and I'm hoping to get this one, soooooooo badly! Friends, please keep a good thought for me.

Happy Thanksgiving!

I hope everyone is having a great Thanksgiving Day weekend!
We spent the day at my folk's house with family. It was a very nice day.

Tomorrow is the big game and apparently, Mike, the defensive player, will not be able to play. I'm sure he's disappointed, but the doctor's do know best.
We'll be there cheering them on again.

For those of you in the Tri-Cities area, I'm going to be selling my crochet stuff at Eastgate School on Dec. 2nd. They are having a craft show that day. Come on over and check it out. Christmas is right around the corner!

Football Game

Saturday @ 10:00am, Kamiakin is playing Kennedy @ Lampson Stadium in the quarterfinals. At least it'll be warmer during the day than at night.

The guy that was hurt is expected to play also, per my son who has a class with his brother.

Just one more game and they'll be off to Tacoma!

Final 4!!

We won again last night, 16-0! Another shutout.
I think the next game is with Kennedy. I haven't checked my paper yet to get the details, but will let you all know.

There was some bad news too. One of our best defensive players was injured and taken to the hospital with a concussion. I'm friends with the family, so I'll have more to report on him also.

I just had to let you know we're still in the playoffs!

The girl's soccer team came in 4th in state yesterday also! Congratulations to them for a great season!

And for all of you Huskie fans out there.........

it was a close Apple Cup and from a Cougar fan, "There's always next year!"
My oldest son got to go to the game with one of our archery buddies. He's a Huskie fan and the family he rode with are all Cougar fans. He did say he had to stay calm since there were only 5 other Huskie fans seated near them. They did give him a ride home, so he must have done okay! (Yes, I posted this in Cougar colors on purpose!)

It's 34 degrees here and yesterday we had fog off and on all morning.

Today is the last NASCAR race also. I'm going to have withdrawals until February when they start up again. How about you all? Any racing fans out there?

Hope you all have a wonderful Turkey Day and can spend it with family and friends!

You know, Christmas is coming so check out my on-line blog and store for some ideas. Let me know if you need anything or want something that you don't see. I take special orders all the time.

WE WON AGAIN!

We beat Lakes from Tacoma, 14-0!

Now we play Mount Si on Saturday. We're down to 8 teams left.

The Braves are Hot, Hot, Hot this year!

WE WON!!!

Well, Kamiakin beat Kennewick 20-14!

Just barely, in OT and by the skin of their teeth. I didn't get to go, since Andy has been sick and I stayed home with him. Mike and Tyke went and sat on the 45 yard line. They had great seats apparently.

The game was full of controversy and no score until the 2nd half. It was kind of an ugly game.

Next Saturday we play Lakes at Lampson Stadium. We beat them before, but they are the supposed to be the ones to beat in our division. Besides us, of course.

Stay tuned.

Kamiakin On Top!

Kamiakin played Eastmont from East Wenatchee last night.
We won (of course) 48-0.

Kamiakin was giving the KONA Trophy for winning the division.
My understanding is that Kennewick, East Valley and Southridge
have to have a playoff for 2nd and 3rd, I think. But I'll check the
paper and make sure. I may have to correct this post later.

The senior players and band members were all recognized last night
also, since this was the last home game.

The senior class is having a craft bazaar at Kamiakin today. I was going to sign up for it, but have too much going on today. My nephews boys are in the grid kids playoff game today and then they are spending the weekend with us. If they win, they'll be in the "Superbowl" on Wednesday night at Lampson Stadium. They are getting excited about it. Their team is undefeated this year.

If any of you want to post something, just email me and I'll put it in here, or you can click on the comments below each post and type it in there.

I'm going to attempt to put a chat box on here as well. Then if anyone wants to talk with someone, you can put it out there and see if we can get something going. It could be fun to reconnect. We have one on a crochet forum I'm in and about once a week we get on it and chat. What do you all think about that?

Send me those posts and pictures for all to see!

Have a great weekend!!

The Biker Assembly

Remember the biker assembly ...... well they still do it once every 4 years Easley leaves his team to check out the hot chick....... some things never change!
Rex Easley and Phil Jones
yes, Maher still wears his Darth Vader helmet...... that's Katrina Kutschkau (math teacher and Kamiakin alum known then as Katrina Hovde) in his lap
As I recall, Linda Slick rode in on a motorcycle as did Randy Dolvin. Is that right?
oh man, this is scary
Thanks to Robin Duncan for providing these photos!

More Football Pic's

There are 11 cheerleaders now.
Here's some of the marching band.
Here's the team getting ready for the game.

I have more pictures to post....

but blogger isn't letting me do it right now.

I'll try again this week, so stay tuned, Ya Hear?

Kamiakin 24 West Valley 3

Do any of these coaches look familiar? Mr. Keith Duncan is in the background. Here's the team running onto the field after they broke the banner.

Here's the proof! Kamiakin is #1 in the division after beating West Valley! Isn't that cool?
Here are the team captains getting ready for the coin toss.

I'm sorry the pictures are a little dark. I don't have a good software to fix them right now (Mr. Borsheim, this comment is to you. hint hint)

Kamiakin 24 Kennewick 7

WooHoo!!

We beat them! The past 2 years they beat us, but we got those lions this time!
The bleachers were packed on both sides.

And wouldn't you know, I forgot the camera!

The next game is in Walla Walla so we won'g be going to that one. I'll post the score though so you will know how it went.

Have a great week, Classmates!

Kamiakin 62 Sunnyside 0

Yep, you read it right!
The game last night was a bit one sided. Sunnyside is now in our league also.

The place was packed due to it being Homecoming and they had to crown the king and queen last night. I thought (back in the day) that we crowned everyone at the assembly at school. Does anyone remember how it all used to be done? I know some of you were on the court at one time or another.

Next week they play Kennewick. That should be a crazy place. We'll have to get there early so we can get a parking spot.

It is fun going to the games, since I get to run into a lot of alumni that I wouldn't ordinarily see.

Until next week. Maybe I'll take my camera and get you all some pictures too. If I can remember anyway.

Kamiakin 19 Southridge 0

Well, since I hadn't posted anything here in a while, I thought that I'd tell you all that we went to the football game tonight and we WON!!!

Kamiakin is having a good year so far in football. They've beat Pasco and Hanford. They're only loss so far is to Richland. For those of you that don't know, they changed around the schools and put them in different divisions than they were when we went there. Pasco and Richland are in a different division than the Kennewick schools now. It's kind of strange.

Kamiakin is 3-1 for the season and 2-0 in their division. I'll try to keep you posted.

111 Degrees!!

It hit 111 here in the Tri-Cities today.
How hot is it where you are?

Summer Vacations

So what is everyone doing this summer for vacations?

You should be able to post in comments, if you choose to.

We aren't doing anything this summer, unless I get back to work soon. I'm just trying to keep up with my 2 teenagers.
